Act One - Creative Arts
"Get your art on!"

Act One is designed to give students who aspire to develop musical and dramatic skills an opportunity to do so at an introductory level. As students demonstrate giftedness or proficiency they will be encouraged to exercise their discipline throughout the U-Turn family of programs.

Lessons:
Music and drama lessons are approximately a 1/2hour in length and are taught in group format. In the case of music lessons, students are given a short checklist of necessary equipment and are expected to be fully prepared for each scheduled lesson.

Instructors:
All Act One instructors are volunteers who demonstrate proficiency in their discipline and are committed to continued development. Each instructor strives to constantly improve their teaching methods, preparation and creativity, all in an effort to bring out the best in each student.

Registration:
Act One is open to all kids age 10 to 18. In order to register your child for Act One parents will be required to complete the Act One Registration Form along with Instrument Agreements (if your child requires the use of an Act One instrument and meets eligibility requirements). Act One will run weekly from October to April
